How Do I Update A Member's Contact Details?

Members are able to update their details via the Member's Site, which will update the information shown in Action Network, almost instantly. However we recognise that not all members will be able to, or want to update their details via the Member's Site. Any registered party officer can update details on behalf of a member by contacting the Membership Team. They can be reached at members@greenparty.org.uk.
It's important to maintain the security of activist information and so you should always use your Green Party email address when sending data relating to individuals. We won't be able to act on instructions sent from personal email addresses.
When sending updated details for a Member it's important that you include both their old and new information, or at least one existing unique identifier. A unique identifier can be their existing email address, Chargebee_ID, or Salesforce_Contact_ID.

How Can I Update Details Of Several Members At Once?

If you've recently carried out an exercise which has resulted in the capture of updated details for several members it may be easier for you to provide the information in spreadsheet form. This should be sent from your Green Party provided email address, and the file should not be stored on your device after it has been sent to us.
To make things easier for both you and us, you can use the example file attached to this guide to provide updated membership information. You'll need to include the Chargebee_ID for each member you'd like to update. The remaining fields are all optional, so you only need to include the information that needs to be updated. The complete fields you can provide are:
  1. Chargebee_ID: This is mandatory and will help match the details to the correct membership record.
  2. First Name
  3. Last Name
  4. Email
  5. Phone: Please include the country dialling code, eg. +44 for UK numbers.
  6. Birthdate: In the format DD/MM/YYYY
  7. Address Line 1
  8. Address Line 2
  9. Address Line 3
  10. City
  11. Postcode
  12. Country Code: This will be GB for all members based in the UK.
