How To Use The Main Activist Search To Find Activists

Within Action Network there are two Activist Search functions. In this guide we'll cover the Activist Search found under the People menu, which we refer to as the "main" Activist Search, as it's the one that most administrators will use most. To find out about the two Activist Searches, check this guide: Why Are There Two Activist Searches In Action Network, And Why Are They Different?
The Activist Search function allows you to locate and view Activist Records using the name, email address, or address of the activist you're looking for. It uses a simple search function so you can quickly get to grips with it.
1. From the Start Organising menu, click on PEOPLE, and then click on Activists from the menu that appears.

2. You'll be presented with a search box. If you have access to more than one Group on Action Network you should check that the correct Group is selected in the drop-down box to the left of the search box. If you need to change this you should wait for the page to refresh before searching. This will only take a second or two.

3. Enter your search term in the search box. You can search by email, name and/or address. Once you've entered your search term, click on the button marked SEARCH.

4. Your search will run, and your results will appear below. To view the Activist Record of the person you're searching for, find them in the list and click on VIEW RECORD.
