MODX: Managing Footer Links

MODX: Managing Footer Links

You can manage the links you find at the footer of every page from your Home Page. If you navigate to Home Page->Template Variables->All Site Settings you can amend the four columns of links such as this example from Stroud Green Party.

Where you find a table of fields such as the Links Grid on the Page Settings tab, you can click on the Add Item button to add a new item or you can edit these by right-clicking on an existing Item. This will open up an editing window where you can specify the content of each item.

Start by adding a Heading — this will appear above the content on your website. You can add whatever content you wish into the editing pane. For links at the foot of the page it is useful to add lists of local links, other parties in your region, campaigns and elections you are involved in and so on.

All MODX guides were written by volunteers, and haven't been updated in several years. If you spot any errors use the thumbs down icon below to leave feedback.
