Removing Activists From Your List

Removing Activists From Your List

You'll likely have a number of Activists on your list who you have no plans to engage. It's possible to remove these people from your list entirely if you need to. Although you may need to keep hold of data on previous donors, there's no benefit or legitimate reason for holding onto Activist data for the sake of it.
To find out how people end up on your list check this guide: How Do People Get Added To My Action Network Group?

How Do I Remove Activists From My Mailing List?

Although it's possible to remove Activists from your Action Network Group yourself, depending on your permissions, we recommend contacting the Digital Support Team for any removal requests. Just raise a ticket letting us know who you'd like to remove, and the reason why. If you're want to remove a single activist simply providing their email address and the reason why is sufficient. If you want to remove a particular group of activists you'll need to provide the criteria used to identify these activists. If you've identified these Activists via a report then please include the link to this report in your ticket. You can raise your support ticket here.

What If Somebody Has Contacted Us Requesting Removal Of Their Data?

Everyone has the right to request the deletion of their data. If somebody has contacted you requesting the removal of their data you should acknowledge their request, and forward the request to dataprotection@greenparty.org.uk, ensuring the individual in question is aware that their request has been forwarded.
