Setting The Time Zone For Action Network Events With No Physical Location
When creating an Action Network event that will take place in a particular location the timezone will be set automatically. However, online events or other events with no physical location will need to have the timezone set. It's important to get this right as picking GMT during BST (British Summer Time) will cause the event timings shared with attendees to be out by an hour.
How To Set The Timezone For An Event
1. When creating an Action Network event you'll see two checkboxes under the event title. Click on the box marked This Event Has No Physical Location. A drop-down menu will appear after the start and end time fields.
2. Click this drop-down menu and select the timezone. Both GMT and BST are available as options.
When Does British Summer Time Begin & End?
BST begins on the last Sunday in March and ends on the last Sunday in October. If you're planning an event in advance around these times it's always worth checking if it will take place under GMT or BST.

Why not add reminders to your calendar now to make sure you're checking event timezones in March & October.
