You may have noticed that some Activist Records have no Date of Birth value. This isn't an error, and there are different reasons depending on whether they are a Member, Supporter or Friend.

The capture of date of birth via the Green Party Join Site presented some technical challenges, and so collection of this data was paused for some time. An update to the Join Site was released on January 6th 2022, at which point collection of date of birth resumed. Members joining via the Join Site since this date will have their data of birth recorded on their Activist Record. The majority of members joining in 2020/2021 will have no date of birth recorded.

Some members may have already provided their date of birth, or provided this after joining and so some records will include a date of birth value. Should a member wish to add their date of birth they can do so by contacting the Membership Team.

The Green Party of England & Wales doesn't routinely collect the data of births of Friends or Supporters, and so it's rare that you will find an Activist Record populated with these values. You may see that some of these Activists have a date of birth, if they were previous members or have otherwise provided their date of birth.
