Action Network makes it easy to receive a notification each time someone completes an Action. This is useful if you want to monitor the success of an Action in real time, or if you just don't want to spend time checking the Action page too frequently.
It's important to remember that when you receive a notification that somebody has taken Action on your page that it will include some identifying information for the Activist, and so you shouldn't set up email notifications to go to your personal email address. Please use your Green Party email address.
If you don't have one, please speak to your Group's Chair/Coordinator who can make a request for a Green Party email address. See this guide for more details:
Request new email address.
Setting Up Notifications For An Action Network Action
1. Navigate to your Action management page, and click on Responses.
2. Scroll down until you see the tickbox under the title NOTIFICATIONS. Make sure this tickbox is ticked.
3. Add in your email address and click on the button marked SAVE RESPONSES.
If you want to send notifications to more than one person simply add all email addresses separated by a comma. For example "members@greenparty.org.uk,techsupport@greenparty.org.uk".
The next time somebody completes your Action you'll receive an email notification, including a summary of the Action taken, which will vary by Action type. For example fundraising notifications will include the donation amount, whereas a Form response will include their answers to any questions.
