Generating A Report To Show Your Local Party Officers

Generating A Report To Show Your Local Party Officers

Local and regional party officers are recorded in Action Network using Tags. This information is also stored in Salesforce, our CRM platform. It's easy to generate a Report to capture your local party officers by filtering on Tags.
To add, or remove local or regional party officers you should use the relevant forms on the Member's Site. To find out more check these guides:

Query: Local Party Officers

To capture local party officers you just need to filter on the relevant Local Officer tag for your local party. Use the Tags filter, set it to include and start typing in the Tag you're looking for. Then select the Tag of the party you're searching for.

Query: All Local Party Officers Within A Region (Based On Regional_Party Field)

The first way to target all local party officers within the region is to filter on Regional_Party being equal to your regional party name. Then adding a filter on Tags. Type in Local Officer and then click on Select all search results. This will add all of the Tags to your Query.

This will add all local officer tags, but combined with the Regional_Party filter should theoretically only show local party officers within the Region. As the Tag search will return any Tags with the words local and officer in any order there is one Tag that will need to be removed from your Query. This is the Regional Officer: Local Party Support Tag.

Your Tags will be shown in alphabetic order so the Local Party Support officer Tag should appear at the bottom of your list. To remove it just click on the x to the left of the Tag name.
If you've created any Tags with the words Local and Officer in any order you'll also need to remove these in the same way.

Query: All Local Party Officers Within A Region (Based On Tags Alone)

The alternative approach to capture all local party officers within your region is to filter on Tags alone. To do this, you just need to search the name of each local party within your region and select the corresponding Local Officer Tags.
To quickly access a list of local parties within your Region check this guide: How To Quickly View All Action Network Groups In My Network.

Query: All Local Party Treasurers

Each local officer position also has a corresponding Tag in Action Network. To create a Report that targets all officers who hold that position add a rule to your report to Target the corresponding Tag. In the above example we've added a rule to the Query we created for All Local Party Officers Within A Region (Based On Tags Alone), that targets the Local Officer: Treasurer Tag.
To save time, why not duplicate your Local Officer Report before adding your additional filters: Duplicating Reports To Save Time.
