How To Set Up A Basic Page Wrapper

What Is A Page Wrapper?

A page wrapper is a simple way of applying your local party branding to an Action within Action Network. You can create multiple Page Wrappers to use for different actions, but it's always a good idea to have at least one set up. If you choose to use the Built-In Page Wrapper your Action will have Action Network branding, which may be confusing for casual members or non-members.

How Do I Create A Simple Page Wrapper?

Action Network can auto-generate a page wrapper for you so there's no need to understand HTML or CSS (or even know what those letters mean). Here's how to make a simple Page Wrapper in just a few clicks!

1. From the Start Organising Menu, click on Details. Move your mouse over Page Wrappers and click on the + icon.

2. Give your Page Wrapper a name. Use one that will make it easy to identify when you need to use it later.

3. On the next page click on the grey bar labelled AUTO-GENERATE PAGE WRAPPER (OPTIONAL).

4. Click on Browse For A File.

5. Select the file from the Explorer or Find window that appears. Then choose the Header & Accent Colours for your Wrapper. You can click the boxes to bring up a colour-picker, or just type in the Hex Code for the colour you want.
Once you've finished setting up your Wrapper you should check that buttons and links are clearly legible, and come back to this step if they're not.

6. Click on the button marked BUILD WRAPPER.

7. Click on SAVE & PREVIEW.

8. You'll then be able to see how your Wrapper looks applied to different Action types.

9. Check you're happy with the colour choices, and header image you've uploaded and that the text is clear.
